Bentonite clay is a dirt mixture that includes volcanic ash, which provides natural healing and cleaning properties. When hydrated the clay expands allowing a negative electrical charge to attract and attach to positive charges of unwanted metals, chemicals and toxins on the skin, scalp and hair. This allows for more oxygen circulation resulting in healthier skin.
ClayLove’s Bentonite Clay is a combination of montmorillonite and volcanic ash. It possesses a higher swell with greater water retention and more drawing capability, typically 1-part clay to 3-parts or more of water. This allows a higher extraction of toxins, metals and oils from the skin and hair. Our strong working product allows you to use Bentonite clay as a daily face and body wash as you would with body soap and includes attributes that help to reduce acne.

Problems with Clay
Every great natural method comes with a twist! For bentonite clay it is the preparation process that can be time consuming, messing and cumbersome... with bowls and spoons, etc. Oh yea and remember... don't use metal utensils or bowls so as not to destroy the natural magnetic charge of the clay.
Basically... it's an act of cooking in the kitchen just to make a mask or natural cleaning product for you skin and hair.
Once your past the mixing process, the application is messy. And since it's impossible to mix just the right amount each time it can also be wasteful.
Premixed clays have their own set of problems... often containing unwanted additives like preservatives, perfumes, colors or other ingredients that can go bad in time, causing waste.

Three Easy Steps
Mix your clay and water right in the kneader bag. Knead for 2 to 3 minutes until you get a thick cottage cheese like pudding. Fold the kneader bag over and hang in your shower for use as a mud mask, hair or body wash.
For a mask experience, apply an even layer of hydrated clay and let dry 5 to 10 minutes. For use on skin, apply all over the body while in the shower. For use on hair, apply from roots to ends and leave on while you take your shower.
After shower is complete, rinse completely and feel the difference.
Follow with your normal skin and hair regimen.
