Instructions for Clay Use on Skin and Face
Washing with clay is a gentle way to clean your skin. Clay is known to have healing and cleansing properties. Unlike soap, clay has no bubbles. Clay cleans, heals, removes bacteria and adds minerals for soft healthy skin. Use clay daily instead of soap and once a week as a mask.
The ClayLove Kneader Bag has made the process of using clay easier and more efficient. Follow these simple steps using your kneader and clay for a natural way to clean your body and shampoo your hair. Just mix, apply and rinse!
Step 1-Mixing
- Pour packet (1/4 cup) of clay into the Kneader Bag (enough to take 24 showers and facials)
- Bentonite: Add 3/4 cup hot tap water, half at a time.
- Green: Add 1/2 cup warm tap water.
- White: Add small amounts of cool water until thick
- Mix clay by grabbing the neck of the bag with one hand and kneading the bottom of the bag with the other hand
- Continue to mix until the clay texture looks like pudding and cottage cheese mixed together (2-3 minutes)
- Use S-hook and bag loop to hang
Note: The clay's texture will smooth to a pudding consistency over the next 48 hours. To keep the clay hydrated and ready to use, push air out of bag and flatten close after each use.

- Squeeze the bottom of Kneader bag pushing the hydrated clay to the top (or reach in bag)
- Smooth the clay in your hands and rub all over your face and body
- Use the pad to wash if desired
- Completely rinse clay off with warm water
Step 2B-Mask
- Wash your face with your face wash product (optional)
- Squeeze the bottom of Kneader bag pushing the hydrated clay to the top (or reach in bag)
- Smooth a layer of hydrated clay to face (the thicker the longer it takes to dry)
- Let clay dry completely, approximately 15 to 20 minutes (shorter for sensitive skin 5 to 10 minutes)*
